Spectacular Opportunity

I was fortunate to have the chance to attend the Maine Music Educators conference at USM. As is always, at the same time All-State rehearsals were happening. Rob Westerberg and I presented information about the Arts Assessment Initiative at the Thursday night banquet. One of the recently selected Teacher Leaders was at the banquet; Alice Sullivan from Woodland and Princeton.

The next day I spent time listening to the practice sessions with band, orchestra, and chorus. Students were focused and clearly committed to giving their best. What a great opportunity it is for the students who are selected to participate. Congratulations to the students! And a GREAT big THANK YOU to the teachers who work with these students!

The feedback was all very good on the workshop opportunities that teachers had! The conference was well organized and a provided a chance to connect with colleagues from across the state. Congratulations students and teachers!
