Celebrate October as National Arts and Humanities Month. President Obama has already kicked things off by issuing an official White House Proclamation that articulates the importance of the arts and culture in our history and in our future.

Vans and Americans for the Arts

Eight schools and funding

Vans and Americans for the Arts are partnering once again to support arts education programs across the country with the Vans Custom Culture grant program. Eight schools will receive grants of $2,500 each in support of their music, visual arts, theater, and/or dance programs, and is supported by funds from sales of the winning shoe design in the Vans Custom Culture Art Competition. All public high schools (including charter schools) are eligible to apply during the application period, which runs September 21 through November 2, 2016.
