One-day workshop, Saturday, April 13, 10:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m., Farnsworth Art Museum. Inventing New Forms: Poetry Writing Workshop.

Expand your boundaries of writing poems by intermeshing poetry & memory, photography, culture, & current events. Using selections from Teju Cole’s Blind Spot & poems by Forrest Gander, Claudia Rankine, Cole Swenson, Wislawa Szymborska, & others as starting points, we will jump-start four new “lyrical-essay poems” based on what we see, read, imagine, & re-vision. Poets & visual artists of all levels welcome.
