  1. Wow! Richard has knocked another one out of the park with this portrayal of not simply Rob Shetterly, but even more importantly the ideals of justice and humanism that these portraits of “Americans Who Tell the Truth” represent!
This piece can apply to a wide range of ages and disciplines, and especially as a demonstration of the power of the ARTS in contemporary cultures.
The thing that struck me most was the idea of eliminating “silos” and having the entire range of races and cultures united to work toward the common good.

  2. That part of the film held the most meaning for me – ‘eliminating silos’. We talk about that in education in reference to content areas but in the world, eliminating silos has the potential to change the trajectory of the world.
Watching the film for the second time this week reminded me why we are planning a conference for Saturday, November 6, 2022 at Thomas College for Maine educators. Information for registration will be out soon. It will provide an opportunity to view the film again, to hear from Truth Tellers who have been subjects of Rob’s paintings and Rob will unveil a new portrait. Maine is fortunate to have Rob Shetterly as a resident.
